Emerging Young Leaders Global Leadership Program
"Building Powerful Relationships That Change the World”
August 8th and 14th, 2017
Connect to the world, right in your own backyard!
This is a two- day interactive leadership program focused on peace-building and reconciliation.
Students from both Iraq and local high schools will discover ways to promote mutual understanding between these two countries through engaging activities, small group projects and large group discussions.
Student will also be involved with a great on-sight service-learning opportunity at Mordecai Historical Park as they learn about the pasts history of the this historical location.
Pulling from the best leadership and stewardship practices each participant will be challenged to think bigger than their world by focusing on becoming a more global minded citizen that contributes in positive ways to not only their community but the world.
This program will also address ways we are challenged by differences and how we can own our voice while allowing others the same privilege so that bridges of understanding are built and consensus is realized. There will be open dialog about cultural difference and nuances.
Fun and highly enjoyable, students should prepare to have a great day of self-discovery.
Preparation: Students need to know this is an indoor and outdoor program and that there will being some physical activities so they need to wear comfortable clothing and and closed toe shoes.

Cost: $60.00 suggested donation for the two day program
